Shipping Policies and Guarantees
ALL LIVE ANIMALS SHIPPMENTS
All live animal shipments are currently shipped using Fedex. We can and do ship certain animals with other carriers, but prefer Fedex.
Live Animal Shipment quotes are made on an individual basis. LIVE ANIMAL SHIPPMENTS CAN VARY FROM $40.00- $125.00 depending on the box size and location.
The website will automatcally charge you $50.00 for live animal shippments. After your order is processed we will call you to confirm the final shipping charge. Once the remainer (if any) is paid we will ship out your animals.
There are very few occasions where we will return some money if the live animal shippments are less then the $50.00 charge, but this is a rare occurance.
HEAVIER ANIMALS AND LARGE PURCHASES DO REQUIRE LARGER BOXES, MORE MATERIAL, AND TEND TO HAVE HIGHER SHIPPING FEES.
You can add extra heat pads or ice packs if you'd like. Be sure to call our main facility to confirm or be sure to specify that in the order notes.
DRY GOODS SHIPPING PRICES
- Shipping price of dry products and other goods is determined by price of overall order. Pricing is currently as follows:

HEAVY GOODS SHIPPING
Items like tanks, enclosures, breeding racks, Waterland Tubs and complete kits have higher shipping rates that are not calculated by the system. These shipping quotes must be given on a case by case basis. These rates are calculated by using current rates set by the shipping companies.
Once and order is placed for a "Heavy Goods" item, then we will call you directly to confirm the final shipping price and close out the remaining payment.
MULTIPLE BOX SHIPPING
Orders that have a high number of items will often times require the item to be shipped in more then one box. When multiple boxes are needed to ship an item, the remaining balance will be calculated here in the shipping facility and you will be contacted directly to confirm the final shipping price and to close out the remaining payment.
LIVE ANIMAL GUARANTEE
Live, healthy, on-arrival guarantee. The Painted Reptile guarantees all animals are healthy and of the highest quality. The animals will arrive in immaculate health and upon proper set up they will do great.
Any concerns with the animal or deaths must be reported at the time of arrival/delivery.
All animals leave our facility in high quality state. Any strange signs must be reported immediately so we can assist in changing your husbandry or fixing the problem.
Any complaints or deaths will not be considered after exactly 24 hours. Since we cannot control your husbandry methods, we are very strict with our 24 hour guarantee for shipping live reptiles. Refunds and Exchanges on Animals
NO refunds on live animals.
NO exchanges on live animals.
Animals will be replaced within 24 hours of arrival, ONLY WITH PROOF OF DOA.
Refunds and Exchanges on Dry Goods/Products
Dry Goods items can be returned within 7 days of arrival.
All returned items will have a 10% re-stocking fee.
Shipping and handling is not refunded. The new shipping fees must be covered by the customer. If an order is incorrect or broken, Painted Reptile will take care of everything necessary for getting you a replacement item.
Original packaging is required for return. Items you wish to return must be in our possession before we will issue a refund.
Exchanges can not be made with online orders unless customer covers the shipping fees for sending item back to Painted Reptile.
Items Damaged on Delivery
Any damaged items will be exchanged immedaitely and an insurance claim will be made with the mailing company.
Complete pakaging is required for return. Damaged items that cannot be returned require a picture to show damage of the product and pictures must be approved by a manager for return..
Items that arrived damaged will be reported to UPS, FEDEX, USPS to complete compensation and insurance claim for the item. Please notify us of damaged items ASAP for best results.
